Hineni Toco Hills Mental Health Initiative

Hineni is a local mental health organization created for a close-knit community that is rooted in Jewish values. Henini was created with a deep-seated desire to uplift and support the people of this community by increasing awareness of mental health issues and providing resources for the same.

CHALLENGE

The challenge lay in designing an initiative that not only provided support but also changed the narrative around mental well-being. To do that we had to respect the community’s deep-rooted Jewish values while being accessible and ensuring that everyone- from the youth to the elderly felt safe, understood, and empowered to seek help.

INSIGHT

The community at large recognizes the need for the organization but the people of the community want to feel the hyperfocus and intimacy of it. They want to be spoken to personally, and locally and see their natural community environment and familiar faces represented in the organization.

BIG IDEA

The organization unites tradition and mental wellness under one communal embrace and provides a blend of culturally sensitive education, resources, and support, delivered with the kindness and familiarity of a trusted neighbor.
